Team Power Solutions and Westinghouse Sign Agreement for AP1000® and AP300™ Projects 

Memorandum of Understanding Supports Deployment of Advanced Reactors in Canada and Globally 

 

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Feb. 25th, 2025 Team Power Solutions and Westinghouse Electric Company announced today that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support AP1000® and AP300™ projects in Canada and around the world. 

The MoU establishes the potential for Team Power Solutions to manufacture key components for Westinghouse’s advanced reactors including; 

  • Electrical Distribution & Protection Systems 

  • Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Panels – Control systems for reactor monitoring, safety instrumentation, and automation. 

  • Power Conversion & Backup Systems – UPS systems, inverters, and transformers for critical power applications. 

  • High-voltage and low-voltage power distribution solutions 

  • Skid-Mounted Power Systems – Modular power solutions for specific reactor subsystems. 

Owned by Canadian energy powerhouses Brookfield and Cameco, Westinghouse is the only nuclear vendor with an advanced, proven and fully operational Generation III+ reactor technology that is ready to be deployed in Canada and generate electricity by as early as 2035.
